I thought I would share some of my poems with you. Just for fun. There are more on amazon where my book of poems ‘Easy On The Eye Poetry’ is available on Kindle. I hope you enjoy the poems posted on here. See my Facebook page for blogs, etc.
Golf
On a bright sunny day, at the break of dawn,
Out came the clubs and away we were drawn
To a green velvet carpet; like perfection it lay
The glorious golf course, that begged us to play,
With putters and woods, we happily swung,
To cross hills and bunkers, until we were done,
Then onto the 19th, for a quick drink or two,
With discussions of winners, who lost, me or you?
We laughed about birdies, golf bags and tees,
And next years extortionate membership fees,
Then homeward bound, it was time to go,
"Same time next week, 'til then, cheerio".

I wrote this little poem for use with Story Massage, the strokes that are used, complement the words of the poem. It was quite effective at the time as I was working with people who had been diagnosed with dementia. They found the Story Massage very relaxing and in some cases, memories were evoked of happier times.

"A successful life is not measured by how much money you have or by your material assets; it’s the love that surrounds you on your journey that counts. A life full of love is the richest life of all".
